Clack WS1EA Iron Filter

HOW DOES THE IRON FILTER WITH CLACK WS1EA WORK?

During system regeneration, an air pocket is created when air is drawn in through an air injector located in the brine port. During service, untreated water passes through the air pocket oxidizing any iron, hydrogen sulfide, and manganese present into physical particles. Those particles are ultimately trapped in the filter media bed. Once the air pocket is depleted and the particles are filtered out, they system's regeneration cycle refreshes the bed and replaces the oxygen head, allowing the process to begin again

This system works best on well water to remove yellow/ orange discoloration (Iron) and that rotten egg smell (sulfur)
